David Burg, Principal
David Burg, a 2010 Crain's Cleveland Business 40 Under 40 honoree, is a Principal and co-founder of PIRHL, LLC and its affiliated entities. With over 15 years of collective experience in affordable housing, community, economic and corporate development, David leads PIRHL’s corporate operations and new business development. David’s expertise in nurturing financial and regulatory relationships within the tax credit housing industry as well as nonprofit and municipal partners is demonstrated in the thoughtful attention that PIRHL lends to each development project.
Prior to forming PIRHL in 2004, David served as an Assistant Vice President for a national developer/builder. While there, David led the company’s internal efforts to bring cohesion and common tool practices to its development operations spanning several geographic regions in the U.S. David’s earlier experience includes working as an analyst for Neighborhood Progress, Inc., an urban real estate developer, community economic developer and funding intermediary for Cleveland’s most active community development corporations involved in affordable housing.
David graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York with a B.A. in Political Science, and also earned his MBA and Certificate of Nonprofit Management from, respectively, Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations. David lives in Cleveland with his wife and four children.
