David Young, Vice President, Development

David is responsible for new business development for PIRHL, with an emphasis on mid-Western states.

Prior to working with PIRHL, David was Executive Director of the Elkhart Housing Partnership, an Indiana Community Development Corporation. During his tenure, the Partnership raised over $10 million in new funds for new housing to develop over 80 units of family and senior housing.

Prior to the Elkhart Housing Partnership, David served as the Development Director of the Bethel Community Development Corporation, a Buffalo, New York Faith Based Initiative. While with Bethel, David secured funds for a new Head Start facility and assisted in securing LIHTC funds for a family townhouse complex.

David also served four years as the Executive Director of HomeFront, formerly Buffalo Neighborhood Housing Services. David developed a city-wide homeownership education and counseling program which helped dozens of families make the transition from renter to homeowner. Before HomeFront, David held management positions in Community Development Corporations in Buffalo and Rochester, New York.

David earned a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York.
