Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry as well as expertise in system design and process management, John Tarnowski leads PIRHL as the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer. John is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational and financial infrastructure of PIRHL and its affiliated entities. With his in depth knowledge of the tax credit industry as well as his experience in operations, finances and systems, he is responsible for managing each and every process within PIRHL to achieve optimum efficiency and results. John also directs the financial affairs and strategy of the company.
Prior to joining PIRHL, John gained experience to the affordable housing arena through a national developer/builder. Within that role, John was directly involved with 75 different affordable housing projects encompassing several thousand units over multiple states. His primary function was to provide the necessary accounting and financial functions for each of those projects, whether directly or through the management of others. In addition, John was instrumental in the development and implementation of several of the company’s financial systems. John’s past work also includes direct involvement with market rate real estate through the development 10 projects resulting in the construction and sale of over 400 residential units as well as the development of several hundred buildable lots.
John is a CPA and has a Masters of Accounting and Financial Information Systems from Cleveland State University. John lives in Columbia Station with his wife and 3 children.
