Water Tower Place Apartments is a 52-unit, three story senior apartment building located on a single-family home in-fill parcels that had been vacant since the 1970s. The development represents the first project of scale within a larger revitalization effort to restore the once-thriving Benham West neighborhood of downtown Elkhart, Indiana to its former residential use. These apartments represent the only new-construction affordable housing for seniors 55 and older built in the City of Elkhart in decades.
The building is served by comprehensive supportive services and has a sub-set of units for seniors with physical impairments, with mental health illnesses and for seniors who are transitioning out of homelessness.
